Overview

The Senior Media Manager is responsible for planning, optimizing and reporting campaigns to meet and surpass the clients’ success metrics while also supporting the team where needed with other projects and planning. He/she understands how bids relate to keyword performance and campaign efficiency so they can optimize and manage campaign budget allocation.

Responsibilities

Media Activation and Execution:

 

 

 

  • Participate in and help lead digital media activations

     

  • Work with senior team members to set digital activation and negotiation strategies

     

  • Develop plan negotiations with vendors

     

  • Act as final resource for all inventory, billing and invoice discrepancies

     

  • Act as the internal point of contact with the Integrated Planning team-comprised of Account, Creative, Strategy, Media, Digital Ad Operations, and Digital Analytics teams

     

  • Ensure constant communication between various other creative teams and ensure activation processes align with other teams/brands

     

  • Work with Digital Ad Operations team to develop and maintain timelines for all activation projects

     

  • Balance, prioritize and properly assign work associated with multiple, concurrent projects

     

  • Serve as a resource for Associates and Assistants for advice, counsel and mentorship

     

 

Communications Planning and Execution:

 

 

 

  • Participate in and help develop brand/communication initiatives

     

  • Work with senior team members to set communications objectives and strategies

     

  • Manage preparation, development, execution and stewardship of media plans for specific clients and/or brands, and accountable for supporting the team and ensuring plans are executed in line with client processes and standards

     

  • Develop ability to manage independently all aspects of the client while briefing the Associate Communications Planning Director on key happenings and issues

     

  • Support Associate/Communications Planning Director in the collection and evaluation of syndicated consumer and media consumption information

     

  • Provides relevant insight and input into existing and emerging media opportunities (through awareness of available media and marketing services vendors)

     

  • Oversees the consistent reporting of competitive market/media information for each brand/category

     

  • Serves as a facilitating contact point for client’s internal media staff and the primary contact point to client’s brand staff when media issues are discussed

Qualifications

  • BA/BS in marketing or related field with 3+ years of online/digital media management experience, with expertise across multiple platforms.

     

  • Experience managing and developing strategies for branding and traffic driving based campaigns

     

  • Responsible for producing and presenting recommendations and launching campaigns from the ground up, including planning and execution

     

  • Ability to forecast budgets and expected results based on historical performance and communicate expectations to clients

     

  • Possess excellent communication skills (written/verbal communications, presentations, anticipate/address questions/etc.), with proven ability to effectively communicate with both junior and senior level clients directly

     

  • Experience creating and handling project plans, prioritizing tasks based on value to the business, and managing clients with multiple LOB's

     

  • A team player with a positive attitude who is able to manage expectations regarding deadlines and take an educational approach with requests

     

  • Experience managing and mentoring direct reports
