The SEO Analyst is accountable for a variety of tasks that cover the spectrum of SEO: technical site audits and recommendations, report creation and development of data insights, and content development, to name a few. Ultimately, the SEO Analyst demonstrates critical thinking and growing operational expertise across tasks that allows them to make impact on their teams and for clients.

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Handles work across multiple clients of advanced complexity.
  • On-boards clients and operationalizes recurring technical and analytical functions.
  • Partner to Strategist on client calls, providing the voice of reporting deliverables and technical analyses to the clients.
  • Demonstrates expertise in onboarding and operationalizing technical and analytical functions
  • Performs technical site analysis, competitive/keyword research, and link analysis
  • Optimizes various site elements, including site structure; content based marketing campaigns
  • Guides the development of reports which highlight the qualitative and quantitative trends from ongoing SEO efforts
  • Creates and develops intermediate analytical and technical deliverables.
  • Provides quality assurance against deliverables and provides constructive feedback to Associate Analysts.
  • Leads technical audits: demonstrates ability to effectively manage audit development in collaboration with Strategists and Associate Analysts.
  • Consults with client IT groups to customize, support and implement an ongoing array of SEO solutions or deliverables and supporting ongoing evaluation of client web technologies / systems and their configuration for SEO visibility.
  • Provides monthly, weekly or ad hoc reporting of natural search campaigns, including: KPI Definition and measurement.
  • Monitors campaign progression as it relates to client goals and objectives, QA’s ongoing data quality to ensure reporting accuracy and leverages specialized reporting software and data sources for the reporting/analysis process.
  • Creates infographics and data presentations that best communicate data insights to clients, proactively provide analytics and key findings for team and client and knowledgeable in comprehensive keyword research, analysis and selection.
  • Ensures timely delivery of all reporting, translating web analytic insights into SEO best practices or actionable recommendations that improve natural search efforts and assist other departments in implementing search projects.
  • Possesses intermediate command of BrightEdge including platform integration with client analytics and using evolving platform features to improve processes.
  • Succinctly summarizes data from multiple sources and generates strategic insights in concert with Strategists.

 

Qualifications

  • 2+ years SEO experience
  • Web technology background
  • Well-spoken and has technical leadership qualities to mentor other team members on the latest web technologies, including expertise on HTML5, Video, Content Management Systems, API's, server configurations and more
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience and/or certifications in web analytics and SEO reporting platforms such as Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, BrightEdge, Conductor, etc
  • Success in using data to drive insightful recommendations, and communicating analyses to clients
  • Working knowledge of search marketing basics and fundamental understanding of digital industry as a whole
  • Demonstrated understanding user behavior and website activity as it relates to page views, visits, and user marketing experience
  • Possess strong organizational and presentation skills
  • Detail oriented with the ability to multitask and think outside of the box
  • Ability to understand and use different coding techniques and various programs/platforms
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Must be curious and resourceful
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to provide Account support
  • Other preferred capabilities and qualifications:
    • Hosting and DNS knowledge
    • Experience with technical web site evaluations
    • SQL Database experience
    • Experience with statistical analysis packages, such as SPSS
    • Programming skills are (Python, Ruby, etc.)
